Just a quick sketch I did of older Katara waterbending.
Even in her old age, she still seems to be so wise and caring. And beautiful. Not in an Asami way, but in the way that genuinely beautiful people remain that way no matter how old they are.
My favorite characters from Last Airbender are Iroh, Toph, and Sokka. But I've always deeply respected Katara, especially after her defining line from the episode "The Painted Lady."
"I will NEVER turn my back on people who need me."
Here's to many more years of happiness for Katara and WE ALL NEED TO SEE HER WATERBENDING IN ACTION...
