So I've been getting a lot of notifications regarding art theft these last few days. First off, I want to thank those artists for contacting me. It's a pain in the rear dealing with thieves, but I truly appreciate the people who take the time to contact the original artists.
I've also gotten a fair number of people asking me where the original "Eeveelution Tribal" went. For those who don't know, my client asked me to take it down quite a while ago, due to art theft and such. Oh the irony. I know that this piece has traveled to other blogs, forums, memes and such, all over the internet. I'm fighting a losing battle here.  I also know that many people liked that piece, so I'm sorry that it's not in my gallery anymore.

But because of all of the above, I've been thinking of creating a new Eeveelution set. A non-commission, properly watermarked one. The only issues are, I thought it might be a tad unfair to the people who have paid me for Eeveelution related designs, and there have been a few.  Also, the amount of time it takes for me to design this.

So I was wondering, would anyone be interested in contributing $$$ to the creation of this design? I've done the entire set twice, and both cost around $200. But in my mind, if potentially-interested people dropped a dollar, it would be easy to raise the money. And this design would be for the community. Let me know what you think! Though I want to make it clear that right now I'm gauging interest only.

Cheers!

I know I'm late for this, but I just made this account a few hours ago. I'd love to donate for an Eeveelution design. I have also sent you a message for different tattoos. Please let me know what needs to be done for both a commissioned tattoo and this Eeveelution.

Hahaa, thanks for your support! If this does happen, it'll be in the future, as I am swamped with commissions at the moment ;)

what you could also do is charge people for it's use, not as much as the commissioners pay because it won't be unique for them, just say "you want to use it? alright that's $50 please" or something like that

The problem is it would be just as easy for people to print screen, copy, or trace the design without paying me. Based on my experience on DA I think the majority of artists here are good people. But it wouldn't be fair to you guys to pay $50 to use it while others just take it for free. I'm hoping that this way, everyone just pays 1-2$ for this design to be made. (Though I don't have time at this very moment to make this idea a reality XD)
Thanks for the suggestion though! It's certainly something to think about.

fair enough, I was walking with a friend of mine about getting an eevee tatt and he set me a link to the one you made, it was on a different website and I knew for a fact that you had taken it down on here (I also knew it was not for public use) but sadly, this website had no text from the artist on it so if I didn't know any better I might've used it, lucky I'm a dA whore and know that most images come from here XD

I may contribute. I still plan on commissioning you for a seperate one later, unless this one is like, ridiculously good.

Anyways, this is a great idea! You could maybe try a different approach this time, I have no idea what, but it will be really interesting to see what you come up with! C:

I've seen the tattoo you're talking about on a different website, and I'll be fair, it's what got me interested in your work. I feel genuinely terrible - because, before realising that you didn't want it to be used, I was genuinely considering getting it done, because I liked it so much. I mean, it's a wonderful piece, so I can see why so many people want it. I WOULD donate money, but I live in England and I still live at home, so getting permission for such things is hard. But I think creating a new design is a great idea - I AM sorry for almost committing art theft, though.

No problem. *Almost* is the key word here so don't beat yourself up about it :)
I do understand that people steal because they like the original. That in itself should be a compliment, but this isn't the right way to go. To me it's like saying you love a person so much you're going to stalk them ;)
But thanks for your comment, this is definitely a point of view that is often forgotten.

Thanks. :D

I really do see where you're coming from, actually. But one thing that struck me was that if I hadn't read the comments that came with the picture on the website I found it on, I'd have never known that it was yours or that you didn't want anyone else using it. Going back to the site (the Pokememes section of Memebase, in case you were wondering), I've found that it's been watermarked and that a full photo of the tattoo has been put up as well, so I'm going to assume that someone figured out that it was art theft. But if the person who got the tattoo done hadn't started prowling the comments asking people not to get it done, then I would never have noticed.

And there WAS a link in the comments that made me worry - there's a site that has this tattoo, and others of yours, on t-shirts. The link is here, in case you didn't know about this -> [link] THIS is definitely something you should consider taking legal action against, I think, because that's just blatant thievery.

You're welcome - I think if you don't know where something comes from, then it can be hard to question it and find these things out.
